Difference between society and community.

1. Society is an abstract subject. That is, society cannot be perceived with the help of the five senses and it does not have any specific earthly form.
But community is a tangible institution. Almost every element of community can be experienced in a specific way.

2. Society is the relationship between individuals and the web of those relationships. Every individual and institution in society is bound by a relationship of mutual action and reaction.
On the other hand, community is the people living in a specific area. Even if there is no relationship between these people, they will be considered as community.

3. Society is a broad concept. It has no relation to a specific geographical area. Therefore, it is not possible to imagine any specific boundaries of society.
On the other hand, community has a limited scope and the scope of community is relatively small compared to society.

4. Specific geographical areas are not considered as elements of society. The concept of society is very broad and is not limited to any geographical boundary.
However, a specific geographical area is an essential element of a community. For a community to develop, there must be a specific geographical area.

5. Society is always self-sufficient. Individuals within a society can fulfill all their needs within the society.
On the other hand, the issue of self-sufficiency of a community is relative. A community is self-sufficient in some areas and not in others.

6. There is both uniformity and diversity among individuals in a society. Different ideologies can be observed in all areas such as politics, economics, social policy, culture, etc.
But uniformity is one of the main characteristics of a community. There is uniformity in various areas such as language, customs, culture, values, etc. within a community.

7. In the case of society, there may or may not be a ''We feeling''. In fact, society is a larger issue. It is generally not possible to create such a sense of community within it.
However, the communal mentality is an essential feature of the community. Without this sense of unity or communal mentality, the existence of the community becomes meaningless.
