Dramatization : Fable ( English Project )
Dramatization : Fable
Dramatisation of short Poem : Fable.
H.S. English project : Dramatization : Fable.
To give the poem a theatrical form , two characters are needed - one is the mountain and the other is the squirrel. There are a few things to keep in mind if the play is to be properly portrayed. For instance, the actors in the play do not need to be dressed like a mountain or a squirrel. The two characters will be in their usual costumes. Personification is the most important here. However, it would be appropriate to place the actor playing the role of a mountain in a slightly higher position.
[ Mountain and squirrel are quarreling over some unknown matter. ]
Mountain : You know little bun , I am feeling very proud. I am so big ……….. But you are so tiny ………… ( laughing )
Squirrel : Why are you calling me little again and again ?
Mountain : Of Course you are little , very little and I am so big and large ( laughing )
Squirrel : You are doubtless very big , but you are not the whole creation.
Mountain : What do you mean ?
Squirrel : There are different sorts of things and different sorts of weather. If you want to make a sphere , different sorts of things must be taken in together. Similarly, a year is made with different kinds of weather.
Mountain : Don’t go round and round. Speak clearly.
Squirrel : Actually my friend, everything in nature is wisely put. Everyone has its own talent . Everyone has such talents that may differ from others. You are very big - it is your talent and I am very small - it is my talent . And think it no disgrace to occupy my place.
Mountain : Now I understand a little bit.
Squirrel : I am so spry. But you are not half so spry . You can not carry forests on your back and make pretty tracks for the squirrels ,but I can’t. I can crack a nut so easily , but you can’t. So everyone has its own talents. In this world every being , living or non- living , big or small , has their individual reasons for existence.
Mountain : You are really a wise person. You opened my eyes. Now, I realized no one is greater or lesser than another. Everyone has their own importance and purpose in nature.
