Different stages of evaluation.

Different stages of evaluation.

Currently, the evaluation process is conducted with a scientific approach and various scientific techniques. Therefore, to conduct an idealized evaluation, one has to go through some special stages. A teacher organizes the evaluation process by conducting the different stages of evaluation in a coherent manner. The different stages or steps of the evaluation process are -

1. Determining the objectives of education: -
The first stage of the evaluation process is to specify the goals and objectives of education. By conducting evaluation with the same goals for which teaching and learning is conducted, qualitative and quantitative information is collected about the student. If the goals of education are determined on the basis of evaluation, it becomes helpful for the overall development of the student.

2. Classification of behavioral objectives: -
The second stage of evaluation is the classification of evaluation in terms of behavioral objectives. This process is - cognitive, affective and psychomotor. The evaluation process is conducted according to the type of behavior expected from the student in the context of the specific goals of education.

3. Determining the student's tasks: -
The type of behavior that is appropriate for the student in the teaching-learning process - evaluation specifies that type of behavior for the students. Through this well-controlled behavior, education reaches its intended goal.

4. Selecting different techniques for collecting information: -
Different types of techniques and tests are used to measure the overall development of the student. In a specific case, evaluation determines which type of technique will be used to measure specific types of behavior and measure the development of the student.

5. Adopting a teaching plan: -
Then the teacher specifies which type of teaching plan is reasonable to adopt to achieve the specific goals of education. It is possible to standardize the evaluation process through a suitable teaching plan.

6. Applying measurement techniques and collecting information: -
After adopting a suitable teaching plan, measurement techniques are applied in the teaching process. By applying these measurement techniques, information about the behavior and development of the student is collected and the student's progress is evaluated from this information.

7. Data Storage: -
After collecting the data, they are stored appropriately for proper analysis and for future needs.

8. Data Analysis and Interpretation: -
This level of evaluation is particularly important. At this level, a teacher analyzes the collected data. There are certain procedures at this level too and the teacher has to follow these steps carefully. At this level, it is analyzed how effective the change in the student's behavior has been in terms of the objectives of education.

9. Objective Revision: -
If after conducting the entire evaluation process, it is seen that the teaching-learning process has failed to reach the ideal level of evaluation - then the objectives are revised.
