The general meaning of the word evaluation is to assign value. Through evaluation, various qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the student can be measured. Evaluation is the overall measurement process of the various changes that occur in the life of the student as a result of changes in various aspects of his life through the educational process. Since evaluation measures the overall characteristics of the student, the scope of evaluation is very wide. It can be said about evaluation - Evaluation is mental assessment with respect to some standard. At present, the scope of evaluation is very wide and evaluation does not only measure the development of the student but also measures and analyzes every element of the entire education system. Therefore, psychologist Wesley said - Evaluation is the total and final estimate.
Nature of Evaluation:-
